Hyper Rift app for Apple iOS and Android is an engrossing text based game that reminds me of the old DOS classic Zork, only with modern visuals and way more intrigue. Hyper Rift app is a text based RPG that presents in portrait mode, from an aerial point of view looking down on what appears to be a blueprint view of a spaceship. The screen is divided in two, with the top half showing the blueprint and the bottom half displaying text. As the story goes, you awaken from cryogenic sleep to discover you have no idea who you are, where you are or what’s what, but your Spidey senses are tingling, and you know none of it amounts to anything good. You get up to explore your surroundings, which is accomplished by reading text and navigating the spaceship’s blueprint. Tap arrows to move to different rooms, tap magnified glass to examine things more closely and try to figure out what the heck is going on anyways. You appear to be the only one here, yet your gut keeps gnawing at you and telling you different.
