Rotate for Apple iOS and Android is an addictive replay game with a simple premise: leap form spinning sprocket to the next to go as far as you can without going splat. BTW - you will go splat often. This one is addictive with a high replay value.

Rotate presents in portrait mode to deliver a cool and addictive replay game. Take note developers, this is what quality replay gaming looks like. As the story goes, you’re a tiny little pixel with big dreams, and your mission, is to leap from one spinning sprocket to the next, moving vertically through this vertigo inducing landscape. Why, you may ask, would you want to do that? Because it’s there, silly-dilly! What other reason is there? Anyhoo, as I was saying, the landscape is populated with an array of different spinners, and you gotta figure out the best path of movement, or go splat trying. Oh, and it’s probably worth mentioning that you will go splat often, just in case that wasn’t evident. Spinners spin in either direction, and the tricky part is, you can’t always tell which way they’re spinning till you land on them. This game is all about making split second decisions and relies heavily on trial and error. There’s a little dotted line that suggests an optimal pathway of movement, but in reality, it only helps so much. Just keep leaping and spinning to go as far as you can before going splat, then hit that replay button and try to do it all over again.

The controls use a deceptively simple screen tap to make the magic happen, and functioned well. The graphics almost have a neon sorta glow to them, with lots of saturation and appealing eye candy. The animation is smooth and clean throughout. The sounds are minimal, rightly placing focus on the play itself, which can be maddening.

Rotate is good fun in short bursts; any more than that, and this one just might leave you a jittering mess.
